It’s been a sweet road for DHI Sweet Street, a bakery that pairs delicious treats with a powerful mission. As part of Development Homes, Inc. (DHI), Sweet Street provides community-based support and meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with and without disabilities. With about 30 employees, the shop fosters independence, positive relationships, and economic growth in Grand Forks—all while serving up freshbaked favorites.
The menu features everything from donuts, breads, and cookies to custom cakes, cupcakes, pies, macarons, and cake pops. In 2025, Sweet Street earned multiple Community Votes platinum awards, including Best Bakery, Best Donuts, and Best Cakes—making it “the sweetest spot in town.”
Owned by DHI, a long-standing Grand Forks nonprofit serving individuals with developmental disabilities, Sweet Street blends mission and flavor, proving that doing good and tasting good go hand-in-hand.
